Florida-centric
I love Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and devour more content about the parks than I care to admit (including the WDW-centric “DIS Unplugged” from this same team). I find this podcast really off-putting and irritating to the point that I won’t be listening anymore. This isn’t a podcast for people who love Disneyland; it’s a podcast for people who love WDW and are curious about Disneyland. DL is treated as an exotic foreign species, to be understood only in comparison to WDW. The conversation is dominated by the host, Pete, who repeatedly refers to “what they do over there” as opposed to “what we have here at Disney World”. This (or similar) phrasing pops up repeatedly, and really drives home the point that DL is an afterthought. I don’t want to hear about Disneyland from people who think it is foreign. It’s a local’s park; fans of DL feel like we belong to the park. Why would I listen to people who don’t share that, who have an explicitly smaller sense of investment in the park than I do?

The bad they talk over each other, various mic volumes makes it to hard to hear, too many inside jokes between each other, it's just a hot mess compared to other Dis unplugged pods (however much of the same) I tried to get past the bad...Read full review »

I had a hard time connecting to the old version. I’m a WDW local so I like hearing the differences between the two Resorts. Thank you, Pete, for bringing this perspective! Also, Tyler and Katrina are great-I like the dynamics they bring to you and Rhino!

Great DL info. Unfortunately, they kept talking over one another!!! I can't understand ANYONE when they do that. Stop trying to joke around and let people finish their statement, please.Read full review »
