A Go-To Podcast Since Pocahontas
This has always been one of my favorite favorite favorite shows since Paul’s first year of making it. To everyone who is listening, leaving hateful reviews full of spit and vinegar, PLEASE take a chill pill. There are 10 trillion podcasts in production. I’m sure you can find more than enough that like to be petty and vindictive without a second of reflection that you can enjoy. I go to Paul and his podcast for a layman’s take on classic/outdated/difficult-to-read stories as well as a thorough exploration of their plots and characters. I love the way he explains how these stories have changed overtime or been adapted into new mediums and I love to hear how some of the details of those stories have been manipulated or misunderstood over time. I laugh, I think, I learn, and I relax. I listen while I’m driving, when I have a migraine, when I’m doing chores, and when I’m having trouble falling asleep (or falling back to sleep). If you listen and it’s just not for you, cool. Take a breath and move on. For me, the show has always made the moment easier.

Love the history and the incredible amount of research he must do. Wish he could do it faster, but I hope the quality is not sacrificed for speed. Maybe he could do something that is not faiytale related and tell some behind the scene tales of more modern stories. Overall a great podcast,...Read full review »
