Association football meets Looney Tunes
The whole contrived-energy thing I could just about deal with in exchange for above-average analytical insight into matches. But the lack of historical knowledge shows. For instance, David Moyes’s Everton were never “on the way to 13th before a good run-in took them 8th”. That describes recent managers, not Moyes. The signature of the Moyes era was consistent competition for 5-7th place but never quite making the top 4 again after 2004/5.

An excellent podcast that follows the important events in global football with an emphasis on the Premier League. I appreciate how the hosts use traditional punditry and analytics as complementary ways to analyze and think about the sport.
