Brilliant oasis of golfing history, knowledge and calm
The depth of knowledge and care of factual accuracy from Stephen et al is a source of great learning for me. Recent malignant changes to modern golf have turned me to a quieter more gentler time when there was an honour and deeper respect for the traditions of game than there appears to be today. This podcast typifies that respect. I have and continue to learn much more about the game I love, born in a town i call home (although I live in Aberdeen atm). Thanks to all those involved in producing this podcast however the some of the books referenced have dented my savings account! 😃 Warmest regards Ian Rose Member New Golf Club, St Andrews.

A true joy. I could listen to Jim and Stephen talk about the literary history of golf all day. An absolute must for anyone interested in the history of the Royal and Ancient game. 👍🏻👍🏻
