“Hard to take a Dune podcast seriously that finds no historical examples of the Duniverse’s political structure (hello, Holy Roman Empire, anyone?), needs to check that “Padishah” is Farsi, and has no idea why it’s the “Orange Catholic Bible” (don’t they realize that Herbert mixes religious sects—Zen Sunni as Fremen progenitors and, here, Protestant and Catholic)? Just wow. Basic historical knowledge independent of Dune, guys. I hope you’re not school teachers.”
