“It's typical of the brilliant and innovative nature of The Economist that it should distinguish itself from other weekly publications by giving a summary not of what has happened in the past week, but of what is scheduled to happen in the upcoming week. They have taken the weekly publications main problem, that in an age of instant information they have to write about an event days after it has happened, and stood it on its head. Its a fantastic podcast for anyone's who wants to feel a little ahead of events!
Some of the negative reviews on here seem to display a worrying lack of understanding of basic space/time ... Note that The Economist can't actually predict what will happen in the week ahead! Therefore naturally the news will focus on things that are scheduled to happen.... Obvious really, you'd think.”
