“Hi fellas it’s John from Sydney Australia. Like your show thank you. You guys mention conservatism in the marketing of rugby and your not wrong. It’s a serious issue and no more than here in Australia. I feel it is a look to the future here (for the rest of the world) as we have an incredibly competitive winter sports environment in Oz. The AFL (Aussie rules) and NRL (rugby league) are simply incredible with their marketing, feel and game development. There is electricity in those sports which jumps out of the Telly and the Internet, the player drama is celebrated and followers are passionate. Union here is getting pumped at most levels and dwindling as a result. Alls not lost .. rugby is a unique game and my sons clubs has seven grades but it needs to get its head out of the conservative sand or it will get swallowed by other sports, CTE chat and miss its opportunity.”
