The ballet world is tragically devoid of color. Seeing a Black or brown dancer is still a rare occurrence, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t prominent ballerinas changing the face of the dance world. This week we meet Michaela DePrince and Calvin Royal III, two dancers who are leading the charge in the performing arts.
