On this week's edition of The Express Truth Show, it is with great sorrow that we report the passing of Hubert Brown, aged 61, hailing from Easton. Mr. Brown tragically succumbed to a stab wound sustained during an incident in St Paul's, Bristol. This incident is currently being investigated as a race-hate crime. In light of these circumstances, a 36-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of Mr. Brown She has made an appearance at Bristol Magistrates' Court to face these charges. Secondly we discuss a study which has been published in Volume 144 of the esteemed journal Child Abuse & Neglect, centers on the topic of childhood verbal abuse (CVA) as a distressing form of child maltreatment. CVA encompasses behaviours such as shouting, yelling, threatening, and unfairly criticising a child. Experts assert that these actions can profoundly affect a child, potentially causing harm comparable to other forms of maltreatment, such as childhood physical and sexual abuse.
