Acclaimed and well known Elvis impersonator interview from 2006. Has performed as Elvis all over the world for many years and was a personal friend of mine. James Rompel, of Cleveland, an Elvis tribute artist and former Legends in Concert performer. performer in Las Vegas, passed away Aug. 18, 2013, in Ohio. He performed worldwide, from the Caribbean to Korea, and also had worked for the City of Las Vegas as one of the goodwill ambassadors for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. James was born in Hillside, N.Y., Dec. 4, 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Peggy Rompel. He leaves behind a sister, Natale Clark; niece, Ashley; nephew, Phillip; and several cousins. James was a kind, gentle, spiritual person who gave freely of his time and talent entertaining seniors, veterans and at nursing homes. He loved God very much.
