Sam is a father of four children himself and one of three in his family of origin. Sam’s father was functionally illiterate, barely having a 7th grade education. Yet, when you listen to Sam’s stories about his father you will be touched by the emotional connection Sam had with his Dad. I will not go into any detail with you in this description as I do not think I can write his story with the same power of his spoken words. This is a story that needs to be heard. Yet, through it all he lived an exemplary life, never giving up. When most people would have thrown in the towel Sam’s father pressed on giving an example to his children. Sam’s father was his hero.
