Last weekend was Wafa weekend, I wafa’d my little heart out.    Libby:  It was warm here too. I’ve been working though lol   PAWS Terri:   Manou- By Isabell Kraemer- Butterfly Wing Shawl-  Simple Pleasures in Line weight +Tussock-    Shift Cowl -   Libby: Colorblock Bag - stashed Weighted Crochet Blanket -  Crochet Cozy Legwarmers  Wizard Hat by Morale Fiber -   FO PAWS   Terri: Leith Hat-Ysolda Teague Yay done in Dreamy Magic- all the colors by A Whimsical Wood Yan Co Gramps Cardigan- I FINISHED. Just awaiting buttons and a block. A few bumps. There are a few design choices I made to change it.  Libby: none From Fluff to Stuff -II plied the Montadale that I spun last time. Somehow had a bit left on a bobbin.  I also plied the green rolags with the bfl like I discussed last time. ALso had a bit of this green leftover, so I took this and the montadale and plied them together to make a really fun little mini skein.  I spun up an additional 4oz of a BFL/Dorset mix from Sheepishly Made out of Michigan. This was a wafa purchase. I am really interested in trying different mixes and breeds that I’ve not tried before.  I also spun up 4 ounces of something that is very soft. I had gotten a couple braids of a new wool called Shaniko from Grittyknits. It is pretty soft. This was an overall minty colored skein with pops of neons throughout. It is stunning spun up. And was such a nice spin. I find soft things sometimes a pain to spin. Or a bit fussy maybe??? This was like buttah…seriously so nice. I definitely suggest checking it out. I need some more, but I’ve gotta spin up some stuff to make room because as I mentioned earlier, I wafa’d my little heart out.    I made up some rolags…a lot of rolags (posted on Insta) I’ve been spinning some of the green ones. I did about 2 ounces, then spun 2 ounces of a green gray to ply with that.    I then grabbed some of my jessie javete fiber arts rolags. I had 3.2 ounces and I split those and will ply them together. These are a mix of really pretty sort of earthy colors. In Merino and then they have sari silk throughout. The yarn will probably be a bit thick and thin with some of the additions. I think it will be quite lovely, though.   I grabbed a 4 ounce bump of a wafa purchase from alpaca pines. It is a mix of Romney and suri alpaca. Also looks to have a bit of Angelina in it as well. I have half of this spun up.    Finally, I also grabbed a braid of 18.5 micron (superfine) and shimmer nylon. I’m spinning this quite thing. Might be my first legit 2ply fingering weight once I ply it. Spinning up like a dream. It’s in blue/purple and green. I got this from Qwerky FIberwerks at the Fargo Fiber Festival.  Ooh Shiny!  Terri: I got real fixated on vests. Then I remembered bookmarking a pattern called Layla by Elizabeth Smith. I’m obsessed. I also saw and become quite enamored with The Hechima Collar Sweater by Noriko Ichikawa    I’ve been shopping for hand carders. I’ve got that fleece to process so I’m thinking I need some. I’m considering Ashford Hand carders. Are there others out there that are good? Idk. Anyone have any suggestions?   Libby:  Fishies pattern - Etsy shop: Rubyburt - want to make some, may add silvervine to make some cat toys Hat pattern - Sarahmaker ran by Sarah Stearns - going to make this one first, I’ve used her website a TON while learning   2 new hooks: Tulip - can’t remember why I ordered this one but it does feel nice in the hand Kollage Square Hooks - Feels SO NICE, pointed for the waistcoat stitch Leisure Suit- Terri- Silent Witness, True Detective Night Country   Continuing with Vampire diaries.  Libby: All of my shows have started back up, it’s great but there’s so many I can’t remember which days
