I especially appreciate the way the creators and contributors share historical detail not just to create an accurate story, but to deepen our own personal experience, to show how what happened to Joseph in the Sacred Grove matters so deeply to each of us as individuals. Those who have been puzzled or troubled by the variations in Joseph’s different accounts of the first vision (4 from Joseph, 5 from those who recorded what he said about it on various occasions, all available to read on the Joseph Smith Papers website) will find so much here to help and illuminate, and come away with a greater appreciation for the richness of detail supplied by each account.
