Don’t be ignorant of Satan’s schemes. “So that no advantage be taken of us” (2 Cor 2:11). Satan’s objective is to exploit your weaknesses, outwit your objectives and circumvent God’s desires for you. The world is controlled by Satan, and he uses it as a decoy to lure you. He will offer you happiness and security, but he can’t provide either. “Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15-17). The world is a mirage. Unhappy people take their unhappiness with them wherever they go. “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may prove what is good and acceptable in the perfect will of God” (Rom 12:2).
