Learn how to keep your sinful nature in check. Temptations are not what make you sin. You choose to sin. Sin quenches and grieves the Holy Spirit and you must use rebound, confess your sin to God, to have an effective spiritual life. If you stay in carnality God will discipline you to get your attention. “Endure your discipline; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?” (Heb 12:7). The person with humility will respond to discipline and authority and admit his own sin and failure. “For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without favoritism” (Col 3:25). Everybody gets raw deals in life and sometimes authority is unfair. Responding to unfair authority when you are young is what gets you ready for life.
