Description
The first major silverware of the season was won by Liverpool, as they beat Chelsea 1-0 to lift the Carabao Cup - the first of another Quadruple assault. With the Reds missing several key players and turning to youth, it was the experienced Virgil van Dijk who secured the win in extra time. Mike, Myles and Dave discuss how the game was won and lost, and what this means for both teams for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, in the Premier League, Arsenal can't stop scoring, as they dispatched Newcastle convincingly 4-1. They look mentally in much better shape than last season, with Bukayo Saka leading the way. Aston Villa looked to cement their top 4 place against Nottingham Forest, and did so in a solid 4-2 win. And the lads also analyse the start of the Oliver Glasner era at Crystal Palace, and how much they improved in a 3-0 win over Burnley.
