50. Dundee Hibernian
Listen now
Description
We've made it to our 50th Episode! To celebrate, we'll be re-telling the history of Dundee Hibernian, the club who would eventually become Dundee United. Rory is joined by Steve Finan, author of the Lifted Over The Turnstiles series, and Mike Watson, former Dundee United board member and historian. They discuss Dundee Hibernian in the social, political and religious contexts of Scotland in the early 1900s and do some myth-busting around the name change from Hibernian to United. They also discuss the legacy this created, the foundations which led to the success of Dundee United, and how the modern club does its bit to remember their heritage. We'd like to thank everyone who has engaged with our project so far. We're so buzzing to have reached the milestone of 50 episodes! Here's to the next 50.
