MMIW: 33-year-old Florence Okpealuk
Emily Compagno did an especially spectacular job on this MMIP case from Nome Alaska. The podcast ran long only because she highlighted Flo’s family; her mom and her sister as well as a local & state-wide activist leader. The end of the show emphasizes that love is at the core of this activism. As my sisters disappear and are murdered, I was moved to tear and love to DO something. Emily asks her guests to give us a path to action! Bills in the state legislature! Marches! Raising families’ voices. (Share this podcast! And there are others!) thank You Emily! Good job. 👍👏🏾🫶👏👏🏿❤️👏🏻👏🏼🤟🤟

The interviewer needs to bring some clarity to her questions. She really fumbles over herself.

Normally I enjoy this podcast but todays podcast on the crime crisis was disgustingly political — and partisan, to boot. That’s definitely not what I’m here for. Gross.
