Good Craic
I’m a longstanding admirer of Pete Rollins. His book ‘ the Orthodox Heretic” is one of my all time favourite books on the subject of religion. Rollins has a gift for communicating complex ideas in simple ways and for uncovering hidden meanings which challenge one to think deeply about things otherwise taken for granted. When I learned he had started a podcast with an American comedian, I searched for it straight away and listened to the first episode. It didn’t disappoint. Rollins possesses the natural humour of the Irish, so his ideas are never communicated in a dry or dusty way, but his collaborator’s contributions ensure that the discussion never veers too far into the academic long grass. But just because it’s funny, don’t assume that you are not being exposed to some of the most sophisticated ideas in philosophy along the way. Very satisfying.

I really like this podcast. I love the balance of the two hosts. Also, the con woman story was fascinating! Wowza.

Love the idea. However, Elliot does interrupt Pete regularly and comes off a bit arrogant. Let Pete finish an idea and be interested in his philosophy. Looking forward to more.

Thank you gentlemen for making the rest of us who like to engage in the grey spaces of life over a beverage and demonstrate our love to friends through relentless abuse a place to feel less alone on the commute to work.
