As much appreciation as disappointment
I came to this podcast when my coven did a meeting focused on Eris. I am so thankful for the mythological offerings of the Eris episode and at the same time, perhaps to reflect the chaos of this goddess, I was severely disappointed by the normative language around masculine and feminine that the creators used. Perhaps it has something to do with the age or background of the creators but when they spoke to the brutality of ancient Roman’s as if modern police don’t commit racist violence in the same way today, I felt deeply let down. The expressions of disgust at the failure of other witches to do their shadow work, the insistence on the projections of many witches landed on me with a bitter taste of irony. I believe these creators have potential to offer their real magick, and I’m disheartened by the insistence on other’s projections that really came across as their own tendencies toward projection.

I couldn’t believe it when I heard you telling a false story about Inanna. And talking like you were there we do not know the truth about a lot of our history. I think you need to heal your own sister wound. Disappointing.
