The mental game of golf is not simply about being born with some genetic predisposition to being tough under pressure. (If only that were true!!) Which in reality is not the case.
Rather, it is about the ability to use the mind as a tool to work for you and not against you. Nowhere is this better demonstrated by understanding the difference between mental strength and mental attitude. Mental strength is like a muscle you have to develop which can be done through a series of drills and exercises. Mental attitude is simply a state of mind you adopt it can be done in a heartbeat, however, it is interesting to note how many people are unaware that their attitude is holding them back, and in many cases destroying their enjoyment of the game.
In this week's podcast, I look at the importance of attitude and the five key attitudes to adopt to give yourself your best chance to play your best golf.
