Good but interviewing/editing is choppy
I’ve been enjoying this podcast, but have found the last couple of interviews a bit choppy and hard to follow. For example, this last episode seemed to jump around a lot in time and omit some details that would help listeners understand the flow and timeline of Tisha’s story. It starts telling us how she got her first car and apartment in high school, but then we don’t really know why she moved out so soon. Within seconds of that revelation, the interview jumps to her having a son and being married. That was very confusing as a listener to piece together her story and then later in the story she revealed she had a tumor(seemingly caused from stress), but there was no clarification whether this was a cancerous tumor or benign so other women could also be aware of this health scare too. There is just a lot of facts edited out and then the interview becomes very hard to follow. I noticed this in last week’s episode as well. Parts of the interview seemed very vague, or parts of her mother’s story were edited out, and it’d be nice to just hear the whole interview with the questions as they are asked so readers can fully enjoy the participants story. I give this feedback constructively as I enjoy the Slay Girl Slay podcast so looked forward to this one as well. I get it’s more story style as opposed to question and answer but there should be some cohesion to the story and not so many loose ends at the end of the story. Overall, I do enjoy listening to each woman’s story and learning from their experiences.
