Information you otherwise don’t get
This background information is very interesting as this isn’t a superficial sitcom. While it’s funny above all else there’s a lot going on in this series, every episode has a bit of educational information on moral philosophy, on the background of characters, even every set and costume is thought through and of course they’ll throw in Easter eggs so many of us wonder where in the Michael Schur universe The Good Place fits. It’s not in any way necessary to listen to the podcast and learn about each episode deeply to enjoy The Good Place but if you’re still interested after watching an episode then this podcast is for you. It’s nice to learn a bit about the actors, writers and all the people who make The Good Place a special series. Each podcast focuses on a specific episode and the guests are relevant to the episode. What seems really nice is that I get the impression that the people who create the show are truly enjoying themselves creating it and are friends with one another and this creates an enthusiasm for the show which comes across in the podcast. I feel that this is a valuable addition to each episode and worth the time to listen and learn a bit.
