Description
TRIGGER WARNING: Conversations about abuse.
Welcome to our third episode, what is BDSM?
From Fifty Shades of Grey to Normal People - media is rife with inaccurate representations of BDSM relationships. What actually is safe BDSM, and how can you practice it? Welcome to the Good Sex Podcast's starter guide on all things kinky.
This episode is a candid conversation about BDSM, how we define it, it's origins, how BDSM can present risks and how it can be abusive. In the final minutes, you'll hear me go on a bit of a tangent about BDSM in UK law, and a legal principle called "consent to harm". (I'm of the opinion that nobody should get in trouble for what happens in the privacy of their own homes in security and safety, but the British legislature disagrees).
