“I was a fan of the podcast but think the move to put this behind a paywall is a mistake. There is already an overwhelming volume of similar pods / content with most of the same guests on a rotation tour. Nobody has time to curate and listen to all and any friction between search and listen will mean listeners just go elsewhere. Finding a business model to make this sustainable is fine but charging for content that wants to be free is not a winning strategy.”
