Epic second birth thanks to this podcast!
Thank you Mel and B! This podcast was so helpful in achieving my goal to have a physiological, medication-free second birth after a highly medicalised first birth (induction-epidural-forceps delivery). In week 39 of my pregnancy I had some bleeding and went in for monitoring. The doctors at the hospital wanted to induce me as a “marker” was picked up on an ultrasound that indicated a possible issue with my placenta. I asked for time to consider and requested I come back for monitoring the next day. What do you know, the second ultrasound was all clear. I went into labour spontaneously at 40+1, two days after they wanted to induce me. I got through my labour with a TENS machine and accupressure combs. I’m so happy I could birth the way I wanted. The information in this podcast gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to push back on another induction. Keep up the epic work!!

Listening to this podcast empowered me to switch from private OB to private midwifery care halfway through my third pregnancy. I felt informed and encouraged to tackle home birth, knowing to trust my baby and body.

Love the approach of these gals. As a doula I’ve been finding their episodes hugely informative and have recommended the podcast to both clients & other birthworkers. Looking forward to hearing lots more from these evidence-based-babes!

Some of the logistics don’t apply to me 100% since I’m from the states, but I love that they are so evidence based and not afraid to go against...Read full review »
