“I stumbled across this podcast when looking to see if there was a podcast where “Evil Eye” by Joyce Carol Oates is discussed - one of my favourite ever short stories. Sadly there wasn’t but I can across this podcast with Trev Downey and would pretty much listen to him read the phone book. Some of the stories aren’t ones I would necessary choose to read so it’s nice to come across different genres of work. He reads beautifully and the discussions afterwards are insightful and interesting. I will be working my way through all of the episodes . I’d love to hear episodes on JD Salinger’s Nine Stories, Ring Lardner, Curtis Sittenfeld and more of Joyce Carol Oates.”
