This week on The Green Rush, Lewis and Anne had the pleasure of speaking with New York State Senator Liz Krueger, one of the greatest advocates for cannabis in the New York state house. Senator Krueger represents the 28th District, which encompasses the Upper East Side of Manhattan and is the primary sponsor of The Marijuana Regulation And Taxation Act, which she first introduce back in 2015. During their conversation, The Green Rush and Senator Krueger touch on a number of issues facing cannabis in New York state including the current status of the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act, what New York can learn from other states about how to properly introduce and regulate cannabis and how the Senator’s stance on cannabis reflects her work around poverty and social justice issues.
