An absolute gaming gem
This is a wonderfully warm, funny and insightful pod that’s perfect for gamers of a particular vintage - and great for more recent converts too. Dirk is a terrific host, ably backed up by his partner in crime Judge Blythey and a Grogsquad of guests and occasional contributors. The tone is always gently humorous and warm, with frequent bursts of pure nostalgia mixed in with enthusiasm for newer games. Dirk and Blythey’s knowledge and experience is deep and broad, and the pod has opens my eyes (and wallet) to many games old and new. It richly deserves its reputation of one of the best pods out there. Perhaps one day I’ll get to Grogmeet and buy them both a pint of something suitably warm and… uhh… brown? An absolute gem of a pod!

Great times. Well thought...Read full review »

So many great interviews, analyses and historical insights... and so funny! I’ve basically listened to every episode at least twice and eagerly wait for the latest to appear. The format - which is modelled on the old-school White Dwarf magazine - is the best around! Ed‘s appearances are always...Read full review »
