Spreading the joys of RPGs to the furthest corners of the globe
Greetings Dirk the Dice and Judge Blythey Just wanted drop a line to say thank you for creating what is easily my favourite podcast. Full of wit, insight, and great advice, your episodes are a boon for gamers of my ilk and I always look forward to the warm caress of your velvety tones as I drive to work or drift off to sleep. My only gripe is that the episodes come a bit too infrequently for my liking, but this is offset by how much content is contained in each. They definitely bear repeated listening. I also make some small products for DM’s Guild, and listening to your episodes always provides a nice backdrop to creating random tables and monster encounters. All in all, your podcast provides a wonderful oasis for old-school gamers who enjoy the vibe of classic and British RPGs. I was just listening to the most recent podcast and heard Dirk say that he’d had a hard day, and that reading listener reviews had given him a lift. I’d been meaning to write a review but as I listen through Stitcher I thought you might not see it. So I created an Apple podcasts sign-in just so I could write this review! And I just wanted to let you know that, yes, you are bringing joy to gamers, even those on the far side of the globe like myself. Hearty salutations and thanks from New Zealand. Your devoted fan, Paul Bimler

I’ve been a follower since Ep1 and after catching up on a few episodes I had stashed away thought I’d chuck my 5* Dirks way. If you want to hear why D&D players are A#%^Holes or why playing RPGs back in the day was akin to Terry Waite’s extended hols then Dirk’s your man !! Love it

I recently started at beginning and haven't gotten to any games I have actually played myself yet. Still am fascinated by the discussions of classic games I was dimly aware of and finding out what I missed out on. Really captures the feel of the good old days, many of the experiences seem...Read full review »

Not just a funny nostalgia trip through early RPGs, it's also a passionate and very thoughtful discussion of tabletop gaming, but done in an easy and comfortable way. Can't reccomend it highly enough.Read full review »
