Listen now
Description
Our guest this week is Stephanie Arends. Stephanie is the miCHILIgan group hang events coordinator and will soon be taking over from "Karla with a K." She is working on a YouTube channel focusing on camping and traveling for "non-traditional" campers. Meaning, tips and tricks for camping and traveling if you are disabled, overweight, solo, or advancing age. As of now she only has 1 full video and a couple of shorts, but she has other videos in the works around this topic coming soon. As someone who is overweight and disabled, she quit camping for a long time. But when she found hammock camping, she found that it was her way to be able to get back outside and enjoy the outdoors! So, in this episode we will be talking a lot on those topics, plus Stephanie has an interesting story about how her and her husband had to ride out a hailstorm and tornado in a cave while they were out on a camping trip. From Cricket, their ultra-light freestanding model, to Hive, the only portable two-person hammock stand on the market, and Turtlebug, their versatile and budget-friendly free-standing option, we can firsthand vouch for the quality of YOBO Gear products. Owning a hammock stand opens up the world to hammock campers. The lightest, strongest freestanding hammock stands in the world come with excellent customer service and the freedom to hang anywhere you please.
