Axel: Paradise
Listen now
Description
For our next step in the journey into the audio art of Axel Kacoutié, a dreamlike exploration of depression in the underground.  Inspired partly by a bruised looking cloud at sunset, we follow Axel on a subway ride where he rediscovers a lesser known truth about hope.  In response to Emily Dickinson's poem 'Hope is the thing with feathers', this work was originally produced for BBC’s Between the Ears, from Falling Tree Productions. Edited by the great Eleanor McDowall.
