“I think the writing, stories and subject matter are really great in these pieces. I love that this exists and want to hear more of it, but I have an issue with the production of the pieces. In an effort to bring creativity and substance to a (already interesting story), too much is added, making the story hard and frustrating to listen to. Voices trailing off suddenly, or appearing underneath other voices, doesn’t make it more interesting, it just makes it frustrating. The production volume always seems to be at a different level for every segment, making it so I’m constantly adjusting the volume. I really love to listen to these kinds of podcasts while running long distances, but this one made me so frustrated with the sound and mixed voices that I just switched back over to my old reliable, Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.”
