“The Hidden People is a podcast that was suggested to but took a while for me to actually sit down and listen to; when I started, I binged the entire first season in two weeks, it was really gripping. I have a huge amount of praise.
The actors, after a few scenes to get their feet under them, embrace their characters and really get into the episodes; in particular Xander Hildenbrandt (Shaylee) has a truly impressive range. Using different writers on different episodes promotes a diversity of pacing that keeps things fresh and interesting. The sound design is professionally done, adding sound effects that truly immerse the listener into the space; I would highly suggest listening with headphones to get the full experience, some of the sound design includes a variety of highs and lows that are lost on passive listening.”
