This is sooooo bad that it’s good.
It grows on you. The writing and script is childlike. The voice actors are dreadful. The season 2 theme song is overkill; they could’ve just stuck with the instrumental and dropped the vocals. —Honestly, I know several ppl didn’t appreciate it but I think the first theme song from season 1 was actually waaayyy better. It had almost like a manga/anime vibe to it. I know weird. But I liked it. Moving on, I can’t tell if Alfie is supposed to be 12 or 21, and McKenna and Thomas or Frank —- or whatever the other male character’s name is, are awful. The voice actors for the order that Shaeley works for are also terrible. The voice actor for the Magistrate is over the top. And Nissa is just....mundane. I don’t know if a person can even be mundane but she certainly toes that line. Sam is tolerable. So with such a harsh review why did I give the show 4/5 stars? Because despite all of the above, the show is actually fun to listen to. It’s kind of like watching Twilight or even Passions(I’m dating myself there). The acting is god awful but there’s still a certain charm to it. This show has a lot of heart and that’s what I appreciate about it. The stories grow on you—they really do and you start to endure the characters —that was not a typo. I definitely meant endure not endear. It’s like your friend’s annoying little brother. After awhile you begin to tolerate the little runt more and more. Before I knew it I was 6 episodes in. Every time I went to change the podcast, I would hear the first few mins of the episode and end up just letting it play. So give it a chance. You might regret it, or you might not. But 2 things you cannot deny, 1.the show has a lot of heart and 2.it’s fun. Not many audio drama podcasts are fun.

Got a sneak peek at the first two episodes, and they were very well put together. Voice talent is extremely varied and talented. Give it a listen!

I read the other reviews and figured I’d give it a shot. The dialogue is ultra cheesy, there are several periods of just silence which I get is desperately trying to convey something in this terrible plot, but it just comes off awkward. Also the volume levels are all. Over. The. Place. My god...Read full review »
