“There’s lots to recommend this series. It’s an entertaining storyline, pretty well told. (Despite some strange use of language, and one super-irritating character).
But the Irish accent that appears in an early episode, then returns in what is a major character is so, so bad I had to stop listening. After investing in listening to 12 episodes, that’s quite irritating.
The offending accent is more Scottish than Irish-sounding. But some words are pronounced so bizarrely, it makes the story impossible to follow. I just can’t take it anymore, so will never know what happens. Pity.”
