“I’ve been a fan of BT Newberg’s work since he began Dead Ideas. If that show felt too conversational and free form for you, you might like the History of Sex for its professional and tight format. If you enjoyed his wit and well researched interpretations of history from the other show, you will definitely adore this podcast. Newberg is tackling a potentially controversial subject with all of the humility, respect, class, and (somehow) also just the right amount of humor. If you somehow manage to find it crude, it perhaps says worse things about you than him.
Also screw the “revisionist history” review. History is revisionist, inherently, when done right. You won’t run into any sensationalism and shoddy, unthinking research on this show.”
