really worthwhile
This is what podcasting ought to be: really informative posts made by a history obsessive. Some complain about the fact that the host is a historian making a podcast, not a “professional entertainer”—but it’s this inspired amateurism (in the best sense of the word) that makes this show compelling. The posts on the Vietnam war and Hungary 1956 are especially good.
