Matt Healy - Astute Metals (ASX: ASE)

Description
Astute Metals has a fascinating lithium exploration story in Nevada. But you won’t hear the words pegmatite or spodumene once. That’s because the lithium Astute is looking for is in claystone, effectively meaning it is disseminated in a manner similar to a gold deposit. The key advantage is that all this rock can be dug up and placed in the processing plant with virtually pure lithium coming out the other end, ready for sale directly to lithium battery makers. No spodumene concentrate, no shipping a product with 94% waste and double handling it into processing factories and out again. It leaves the mine site battery-ready. Astute’s first hole at the Altair project hit two zones of mineralisation. Follow-up drilling is now planned at Altair along with a maiden drilling program at its new Cobre lithium project, which is also claystone. The Board hosts some of the key Pilbara Minerals founders and the Company has a market cap of just $15m. Our chat with Matt Healy, the General Manager of Exploration, is a must-listen for investors in the lithium space. ---- Produced by Resource Media ---- The Hole Truth is a product of Read Corporate.
