Great Acting, Solid Writing, w some problems
The acting is wonderful and the production quality is great. The thriller qualities of the writing are strong, while the dialogue is a little repetitive in the first few episodes, it gets better as the series goes on. There’s some problematic/triggering language around LGBTQIA ppl and fat-shaming in the first few episodes. It’s done in a way that implies the audience should let those moments go because the characters do, but I found it somewhat frustrating and disappointing.

More reviews of The Horror of Dolores Roach
It struck me from the first moment I listened that the female narrator sounds like Esther from the podcast “Once Upon A Crime | True Crime” Will the creator of this podcast please confirm or deny this? Thank you in advance for your prompt response.

I can't even with this one, I didn't expect it to take the turn it did and I was completely hooked after that.Read full review »

Just from the little teaser for this show I was already really interested. By the end of the eighth episode I found myself standing in the middle of the kitchen with my mouth agape. The cast is phenomenal. Daphne Rubin Vega stoke the show in particular. I’m really excited to hear more from Dolores.
