Facing your Fear
Listen now
Description
Fear can feel like an impossible barrier to your goals with your horse.  It is your brain's job to keep you safe so it compiles all of the the information gained from the past to draw conclusions of whether you should feel safe or be in a sympathetic state (flight, fight etc...). In this episode I will walk you through the first steps in retraining your fear patterns and regaining your confidence.  Awareness and knowledge are where this process begins!  See you in the episode!  Join us virtually for our LIVE class on the Polyvagal Theory!  We will go in depth on the horse's nervous system, homeostasis state and survival responses.  When you know the difference between involuntary reaction and behavior you can be more strategic in your approach with your horse and help him to find relaxation and calm in any situation.  Click HERE to sign up for the class!  (If you would like to join in person please contact Ashley directly [email protected]) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ashley-purdin/message
