They say comedy is tragedy plus time
And thanks to this podcast I finally find myself laughing at my past in a cult instead of feeling overwhelmed by anger and shame. When cracks started appearing in the paradigm I’d been raised and steeped in since birth I felt as though someone had kicked a chair out from under me. The more I scrabbled in the dirt of the history my church, digging for the truth, the angrier and more despondent I became. Everything I’d been brainwashed to believe was laughable; the emperor had no clothes. And thanks to the Audio Uncles I feel seen and heard. I feel reassured that there really is a life on the outside and that a better future can be built. Together we listeners can have the cathartic experience of laughing at the emperor’s bottom hanging out for all to see.

At first I thought this was a great podcast about Atheism, but instead it’s turned into pontificating about how others should behave and pointing out the flaws in others. It mostly seems they want to flaunt how “morally superior” they are.
