It’s so so so good.
Zoe does an amazing job of getting to know people so they’ll trust that she will relate their perspectives and she shows both sides of a thorny issue. She is an empath who draws folks in her subjects and her listeners in. Also, the vinyl record skipping sound that closes the conclusion of episode 5 is a podcast master stroke. The coup de grace. The stuff of someone’s masters thesis for sure. Big fan.

Great insight into small town southern politics.

The host utilizes the tools of podcasting — honesty, intimacy, vulnerability — to tell a multifaceted, nuanced story of voter fraud. It’s not dry and political but really gets at the relationships, emotions and systems (racism) that impact local politics.
