Also, the pregnant pauses when the interviewee corrects Stephen twinges of offending his ego. And telling your guest he should get a PhD because people treat you differently mixed with a generally less humble disposition as of late puts things into the context of possibly getting an ego fix from being the authoritarian in this field.
I’m sure no one would be immune to this but continuing a practice of self awareness in the very less than objective field of psychology is helpful for oneself, one’s patients and the important work that Stephen continues to put into the world.”
