Lee Berger talks here to Razib Khan and Spencer Wells with refreshing humility and self deprecating humour about his tribulations, doubts and frustrations during the long years leading up to one of the most earth shattering discoveries in paleoanthropology, a discovery so astonishing that it is forcing people to completely rethink what it means to be human, an ongoing discovery that he and his team are documenting and broadcasting to the world as it happens in an open, generous and inclusive way that many in his field would do well to take note of and emulate. Brilliant and inspirational.
