Figuring out the casting, how important is it to get it right early on, or can you just get by with a scented fly and burley until you get better. Also, the raging debate on whether you should buy or tie flies, and how important is understanding fly tying to a beginner.  I think if your listening to this as a beginner or looking to get back to basics, you will find a very trimmed pragmatic approach to fly fishing that involves no mystery or elitism...
