Today we will be having some Real Talk on Coming Home for the Holidays with special guests Rachel Grant and Kathleen Hearod. Kathleen Hearod is an advocate for healthy sexual life experiences and prevention of sexual trauma. Kathleen is the author of the book “Hurt People Help People” and “Things I Wish I Knew”. Kathleen is a sexual abuse survivor and minister. Kathleen helps individuals have conversations about preventing child sexual abuse with a focus on reporting. Kathleen also shares tools to help manage  life after trauma and minimize long term effects of triggers including daily care, self-releasing and event care. All of Kathleen’s work is based on life experiences and guided practices she has used over the years. She is also the author of Beyond Surviving: The Final Stage in Recovery from Sexual Abuse. Based on her educational training, study of neuroscience, and lessons learned from her own journey, she has successfully used the Beyond Surviving Program since 2007 to help survivors break free from the pain of abuse and finally move on with their lives.
