“At this point I feel I can call myself a lifelong fan of Jeff Gerstmann, back to trying to watch him on Gamespot on dial-up. I will always love him, but after a year I find myself usually turning off his show in aggravation. His intentionally ignorant takes for comedic effect were fun when there were others to then engage with those same games honestly. Now the jokes are just the coverage. His authority on games as a creative medium and industry has seemed weaker, and I find myself far too often knowing what he’s talking about better than him. I hope this is just a rough patch, but this isn’t a show I recommend anymore.”
