Heaven in a Podcast
I am old enough to remember watching this show on it’s first showing in the UK. My family and I were hooked at the time and it never left me. I found this podcast at the end of season one and I have bing listened all the available episodes and been in quiet ecstasy throughout. It’s been a joy to listen to the episodes, the musings and a bitter sweet memory trigger. As an avid Sherlockian I have the books, the films (of varying quality and shudderingly bad accuracies), radio dramas and TV adaptations and this version wins every time. Having this podcast celebrate it’s excellence and give glowing nods to the BBC’s Clive Merrison’s radio drama takes me to a happy place every time. If you love the show, want a feast for your ears and have the time to give these long episodes the time they deserve, give them a go. If you have smaller windows of time listen anyway and break them up according to your timetable, but listen because they are a complete joy. As I said in the title, ‘Heaven in a Podcast’.

Even though I haven’t seen the JB Sherlock portrayals, the conversation is still interesting. The host’s constant pausing during the narration of the story is annoying, so I’m just skipping to the discussion half. Also, isn’t it pronounced Lestrahd and not Lestrayd? (I’m going by the Stephen...Read full review »
