Emma Goldman
I love the way you open the podcast and linked Emma Goldman to the female led activism in the present. But apart from learning a bit about her upbringing and free love/pro birth control/anti-feminist position, I learned almost nothing about Emma Goldman’s life, political activism, accomplishments, and trajectory. I heard lots of adjectives about her and her oratorical talent, but that really did little to inform or educate me beyond what I already know. I was hoping I could recommend this to my teenage daughter, but I don’t think I will. Too little content. You obviously made a conscious decision to approach your subject in this way and perhaps there is an audience that appreciates it more than me.

Marx is an historical figure everyone thinks they know. The podcast brought out aspects of Marx the person and political thinker that were interesting and informative. Alessandra Wollner engaged the biographer with interesting questions that allowed the biography to come to life in a brief podcast.
